Second Quarter 2022: Focus on the Carolinas

As the sun sets on the first half of 2022, Gray Surety reports continued growth and shares about activity in our Carolinas Region. Across the company, numbers are rising.

Compared to this period last year:

— Account submissions are up over 50%
— Bond requests are up over 10%
— Revenue is up on over 20%

Happening in the Carolinas

Our Carolinas Region, led by regional manager Jason Sayers, maintained a busy schedule throughout the second quarter. In March, they entertained brokers and their customers in Durham, North Carolina. Those safety masks in the picture conceal the identity of Gray Surety brokers and customers enjoying a paint ball event at Xtreme Adventure Park. As always, safety first!

In April, key members of our team, including our COO, Michael Pitre, caught the Durham Bulls and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp in an early season match-up. With both teams scoring late in the game at Athletic Park, it was an exciting 7-6 win for the home team -- and an enjoyable evening for the Gray Surety team.

One week later, our team watched the Carolina Hurricanes battle it out on the ice with the Winnipeg Jets at PNC Arena. The Hurricanes blew past the Jets for a 4-2 win that let the Gray Surety team put this event in the win column.

Before the month was over, we headed to the Virginia Beach Broker Appreciation Event hosted by one of our brokers. The Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club provided a scenic venue for meeting other brokers from around the Tidewater area.

April showers brought May flowers in the form of “Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” in Raleigh, NC. The hype was not overblown. It really was like walking into a painting.

Our team stopped long enough to catch Paul McCartney’s “Got Back” tour on his only stop in the Carolinas. We caught a photo of Jason Sayers and one of our local Gray Surety brokers hanging out at Wake Forest University’s Truist Field in Winston-Salem before the show.

Now, Sayers is back and the whole team is ready to keep growing through the second half of the year.
